Muchos países han sido los afectados por el voto entre los países vecinos y uno de esos perjudicados durante los pasados festivales sin duda ha sido el Reino Unido, que ni con brillantes canciones ni relevantes artistas reconocidos ha conseguido subir en la clasificación año tras año. Con el título «Tu país te necesita», muy en la línea a lo que España propuso el año pasado con «Salvemos Eurovisión» en vistas a las últimas malas clasificaciones, cuatro semanas intensas de preselección dieron una ganadora, Jade Ewen.

Jade Ewen combina en su voz el tecnicismo de Mariah Carey o Whitney Houston, el clasicismo de Diana Ross y la calidez vocal de Donna Summer. Desde que a la edad de 3 años no paraba de cantar en el jardín de su madre, Jade ha ido haciendo su sueño realidad de convertirse en cantante.

Tras varios años en un infancia donde no ha conocido la tranquilidad de tener un hogar estable debido a los numerosos cambios en las vidas de quellos que les rodeaban, con el Festival de Eurovisión llega su tiempo, como dice su propia canción, una balada in crescendo, el tiempo de depender de sí misma, de moverse por el sendero de la vida que le dicten sus propios sentimientos.
