High School Musical, alcanzar una estrella y ser libre

Se suele decir que lo mejor es guardar las distancias y con calma opinar sobre las cosas. Hoy me es imposible, porque la propia película en sus instantes finales me ha hecho levantarme del sofá, aplaudir, cantar y sentir la música como hacía tiempo que no la sentía.

High School Musical habla de muchos sueños, de aquellos que cada uno tiene encerrados y que como una caja de pandora, llega un momento en el que se hacen libres y ya nadie los puede frenar. Esa caja se abre para Troy y Gabrielle, los protagonistas, en un momento que nunca hubieran imaginado y en el lugar más insospechado, una fiesta de despedida de fin de año. Nace algo nuevo. Un karaoke, música, un chico y una chica.

Y he aquí que el espectador queda entonces desbordado por la fuerza de los sentimientos y el poder de una música que aunque sea la primera vez que la escuchamos, parece pertenecer como por arte de magia a nuestro pasado conocido. Y ya es imposible no adorar el film hasta el final.

La historia continúa con la eterna duda de la elección, el camino que nos llevará a ser una persona u otra en la vida: la música o el deporte, la música o la física. Y en una clase magistral y organizando el tiempo y el espacio, se nos enseña que nada es incompatible, que con esfuerzo y que sobre todo con el sueño de querer hacerlo y conseguirlo es suficiente.

El final del film consigue meter de lleno al espectador dentro del musical, hay un momento en el que de hecho parece que hayamos comprado una entrada para ir al teatro, coger nuestra butaca y de repente cantar y dar palmas como si estuviésemos allí mismo, junto al público, simplemente maravilloso. Un final que regresa al principio cerrando el círculo y que a la vez deja la sensación de haber conocido durante un tiempo la felicidad.
