Kurt se presentó por primera vez a un casting para el coro de su colegio no por el hecho de cantar, sino para estar con sus amigos. No sólo fue elegido, sino que le tocó cantar en la visita que el Papa hizo al país. No sería hasta el año 2005 hasta que se ocupó en la música de forma profesional.

En 2008 se mudó a Reino Unido, donde además de tomar clases de piano comenzó a tocar en clubes, pubs y restaurantes durante su estancia de un año en el país. De regreso a Malta, comenzó de corista en un programa de televisión y posteriormente como cantante solista en otro programa familiar emitido por la cadena nacional. En 2010 se presentó con un dueto al concurso Malta Song For Europe. Fue este un aó de gran éxito ya que consiguió ganar el festival Orfeo de Italia.
La canción que presentará en Baku forma parte del primer disco que lanzará en breve. “This is the Night” es una canción disco pop cuya principal virtud reside en el buen rollo que transmite el estribillo, sobre todo la última parte de este con la onomatopeya “eh eh” que logra meterse en la cabeza y es dificil sacarla de ahí. Una buena candidata para sonar por toda Europa este verano.
